We are Committed to THE GOSPEL:

1. It transforms us.

"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.  The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."- 2 Corinthians 5:17

  • The Gospel is the good news that Jesus is our Rescuer. Jesus' obedience to His Father provides a new standing before God.  His life, death, resurrection and ascension to Heaven provide access to intimacy with God, freedom from the power of sin's enslavement, eternal life and glory.
  • Jesus will return to judge all people and to make all things new.  Until then God's people push back by the power of His Spirit on every false gospel and false hope.
  • Prayer is essential.  There is a posture of dependence on God and not us.  The grace of Christ is good news for all people.

"We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope" - Tim Keller

2. It transforms our community.

  • The deep relationships and community we long for exist only in Jesus. Christ has opened the way for us to enjoy God and each other.  Those justified by Christ's life, death and resurrection are gathered into community through and in Jesus Christ.
  • Gospel community calls us follow and equips us to grow in Christ. Regardless of age and stage, we find our place in God's story by continuously looking to Christ and His gospel.
  • Deep transformation of families, neighborhoods, and cities is the supernatural work of God's Word and Spirit. The city where hearts explore Christ and His gospel in community will forever be changed.

"The community of Christians springs solely and fully from the biblical and reformation message of the justification of man through grace alone; this alone is the basis of the longing of Christians for one another.” - Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Life Together

3. It sends us to our neighbors.

  • We were made to live on mission. By the power of God's Spirit, ordinary believers get to see God writing eternity on the hearts of neighbors, co-workers and friends.
  • God's Spirit aligns head, heart and hands for mission.  Rhythms, resources, and relationships become mobilized around a central passion for Christ and His Gospel.
  • Feasting on grace leaves crumbs. The sweet aroma of Christ naturally overflows at home, work, and play from those delighting in Christ and His gospel.

"Taste and see that the Lord is good!  Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! - Psalm 34:8
